Anyone in South Africa who knows anything about b-boying has heard of Cape Town’s Ubuntu crew. Duane Lawrence founded the crew almost 13 years ago and now shares leadership of the crew with his brother, Jed, the first B-Boy to win the B-Boy Cup in France for two consecutive years.
Duane Lawrence, known as B-Boy D started Recording his own music in 2006 and is now Finally ready to release his Manuscripts. This is his first solo album entitled "Chill and Flow 3D" which consists of an original fusion of Hip Hop, R&B, House, Funk, Soul and Reggae. All tracks on the album are written and composed by B-BOY D and are produced by RJ productions.

Boasting an impressive breaking resume, JED won the title of Best B-Boy at the South African Battle of the Year in 2000, 2001, and 2005, as well as winning the breaking section of the Alex Groll Cup in 2002, 2003, and 2005. His most recent achievement is taking the crown with his crew Ubuntu at the Fringe World Cup B-Boy Event in France for the second time.
